 | For 1999, the second generation Altima is a carry over with the exception of revised equipment offerings and new exterior colors available. The Altima is available in four models- XE, GXE, SE and top of the line GLE. The luxury version GLE now comes standard with alloy wheels as well as leather interior and real wood interior trim. The SE is the sportier version of the Altima and comes standard with a sport tuned suspension, rear spoiler and is the only model available with white faced gauges. Blue Dusk and Titanium Frost are two new exterior colors for 1999. All models have improved sound and speaker quality and are standard with dual air bags, rear child safety locks and side impact door beams.
